I took my watch to a service center, where they cleaned the mechanism and replaced worn parts. Now it works perfectly, but its appearance leaves much to be desired—the case is scratched, and the bracelet also looks worn out. The workshop offered to polish it at the same time, but I don't know whether to agree. On the one hand, it makes sense to completely refurbish the watch, but on the other hand, I'm afraid that the external shine will damage its originality. Has anyone had their watch polished immediately after servicing the mechanism? Is it a good idea, or is it better to leave everything as it is?
