What could be causing high CPU usage on my laptop even when no programs are running, and how can I troubleshoot and resolve this issue?

Same here, just noticed every Reddit tab I open in Safari (Apple M1) hogs around 20% CPU usage, both foreground and background. Wondering what's happening but too omegle echat lazy to debug now.
