Linux vm: new creative uses?

I recently discovered cloud VMs and decided to use one to host my Minecraft server for free. Previously, I used to self-host the server on a Windows computer, which worked but had its limitations. Now that I'm in Uni, FortiGate blocks various activities, including hosting a VPN.

However, I found a way to bypass the FortiGate Firewall by using SSH tunneling and routing my traffic to the VPS. This led me to explore the capabilities of Linux and I had fun tinkering and learning along the way. I've already tried multiple VMs on Azure and switched to Google, but now I'm looking for new ideas and possibilities for what else I could do with this Linux machine.

So, in essence, my question is: "What other creative uses and projects can I explore with my Linux machine?"
