I’ve tried booting LXLE Linux but that just told me I need to use a kernel matching my architecture.
After that I tried DamnSmallLinux (DSL) which boots successfully! Even the touchscreen does something, but just not what I am expecting. I click on the middle of the screen and the mouse moves to the top right of the screen. It needs some form of calibration.
Can anyone point me into the right direction on how I can calibrate the touchscreen in DSL or recommend any other OS for the i586 architecture where the touchscreen might work better?
I don’t have much information on the device. The touchscreen works via VGA and serial. It’s an AMD Genode omeglz online2yu CPU with 500 MHz and 256MB RAM (lol).
