Although I know I can connect to WiFi without an Ethernet cable, I am unable to do so as nothing appears when I click on "show available networks." This has left me feeling extremely perplexed.

Incorrect Password: If you are trying to connect to a Wi-Fi network that requires a password, make sure that you have entered the correct password.
Network Range: If you are too far away from the Wi-Fi router or access point, you may not be able to connect to the network. MyBalanceNow
Network Congestion: If there are too many devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network, it can cause network congestion and slow down the connection speed or prevent new devices from connecting.

I understand your frustration and confusion regarding the issue of not being able to see any available networks when you click on "show available networks" to connect to WiFi without an Ethernet cable.

There could be a few possible reasons for this problem. Let's explore some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:

Check WiFi Adapter: Ensure that your device's WiFi adapter is enabled. Sometimes, it might accidentally get disabled, preventing it from scanning and displaying available networks. You can usually enable it through the device's network settings or using a physical switch or function key combination.

Restart WiFi Router: Restarting your WiFi router can help resolve temporary connectivity issues. Try turning off the router, waiting for a minute or two, and then turning it back on. This process can help refresh the router's settings and signal transmission.

Update WiFi Drivers: Outdated or faulty WiFi drivers can cause connectivity problems. Visit the manufacturer's website for your device or WiFi adapter and check for any available driver updates. Install the latest drivers and see if that resolves the issue.

Check WiFi Signal Range: Ensure that you are within the range of a WiFi network. If you are too far away from the router or there are physical obstructions, it might affect the visibility of available networks. Move closer to the router and see if that makes a difference.

Network Troubleshooting: Run the network troubleshooter on your device to automatically detect and fix any common WiFi connectivity issues. This built-in tool can help identify and resolve potential problems with your network configuration.

Seek Technical Support: If the issue persists after trying these steps, it may be worth contacting technical support for your device or the manufacturer of your WiFi adapter. They can provide further guidance and assistance based on the specific details of your situation.

Remember to provide specific information about your device, operating system, and any error messages encountered when seeking technical support. This will help them better understand and address the issue you're facing.

I hope these suggestions help you in resolving the problem and regain the ability to connect to WiFi networks without an Ethernet cable.
