I keep going back to the cut scene where he found Mercy fighting a flood infector but truth told him (I think it was Tartarus…) to leave him. He immediately did it & it almost seemed like he enjoyed it. In my head From his POV, that raised him up to basically 2nd in command so he had no issues killing even a omegle shagle prophet to gain power
