The easiest way I've found to do it is just make a shortcut to the Sims on your desktop (go to the folder you installed the Sims in and right click Sims.exe, then click on send to, and then desktop. Voila! You have a shortcut on the desktop.) Now that you have this shortcut, just right click the shortcut, click on properties, and then click on the Target text box. This should have a line that looks something like this in it: "C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims 8 in 1\The Sims\Sims.exe" (It can vary depending on where you installed the Sims.) Now just add to the end of that the resolution you want, like this! "...The Sims\Sims.exe" -r1024x768 . Be sure to leave a space between the " and - so that it recognizes the command. This particular command makes it so that the Sims will run in 1024x768, but you can change the numbers to fit your needs. Congratulations, you've just changed the running resolution of your The Sims game!
