The latest Baby Nadal watch to join the collection is the RM 35-03, launched in 2021. A highlight of the RM 35-03 is its new winding mechanism, the "Butterfly Rotor," a patented invention that allows the wearer to control the winding of the watch. A pusher at 7 o'clock activates or deactivates "Sports Mode" (indicated by an indicator at 6 o'clock on the dial), causing the oscillating weight to transform from its traditional half-moon shape to two separate quarters, resembling butterfly wings.
The idea is that during periods of low activity, more efficient winding is required to keep the watch running. During periods of high activity, removing the winding force (i.e., engaging Sports Mode) effectively prevents over-winding of the movement, thereby increasing the watch's lifespan. Another pusher at 2 o'clock allows the wearer to switch between winding, neutral, or manual winding, and there is also an indicator at 2 o'clock.
Richard Mille originally released the RM 35-03 in two versions: white quartz TPT with a black carbon fiber TPT case, and blue and white quartz TPT. In 2023, a third version in black carbon fiber TPT joined the RM 35-03 collection. In 2025, Richard Mille introduces two new versions: light blue and salmon, both made of Quartz TPT.

Richard Mille RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal (2024)
In 2024, Richard Mille unveiled the RM 27-05 Rafael Nadal, breaking two records. Weighing just 11.5 grams (without the strap), it can withstand up to 14,000 g's of gravity. These impressive specifications make the RM 27-05 the world's lightest and most durable manually wound tourbillon watch. Although Nadal was eliminated in the first round of the 2024 French Open, a major tennis tournament the Spanish player has long dominated, he was indeed seen wearing the RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon during the match.
The RM 27-05 took over 4,000 hours to design and develop. Its case is crafted from a new composite material called Carbon TPT B.4, which is denser, harder, and more robust than the original Carbon TPT.
The flying tourbillon, located at 5 o'clock on the skeletonized dial, is housed within a manually wound movement with a 55-hour power reserve. The baseplate and bridges are crafted from micro-blasted and PVD-treated grade 5 titanium.
